Once the count has finished the others can if they wish call out, "coming" or "ready or not coming".

To give the finders a chance they could decide on limits to the search area.

The only real limit is that of a child's imagination of course.

A playground favourite - HOPSCOTCH

How to play Hopscotch:

You will need some sidewalk chalk to make your hopscotch grid or you can also scratch out your grid in the sand or dirt.

Once you have your grid, you can the number your squares through one to nine, with a safe or home area at the end to turn.

Next you will need a marker of some kind. A coin, beanbag or pick out a good size tossing rock which is not too small as they can bounce around too much and big ones can be hard to throw.

OK ready.

To start toss the marker onto square one.

Hop over the marker and in turn with a single foot or both feet hop follow the hopscotch pattern grid to the end. Then come back hopping to square number two.

When you get to number two, balance on one leg collect the tossing marker from square one then hop over square number one to the start.

Toss the marker to the number two square and as before hop alternating one foot or both to then and come back to square number three.

Collect your tossing marker and return to the start. Repeat until the player misses the correct square.

If that happens the player then lets the other person have their turn as your turn is over.

Ending a turn, If the player steps on a line, loses balance or misses a square in either direction that turn come to an end.

They can resumes when it's their turn again, starting where they left off.

Winner: The winner is the one who completes the whole grid first.

Any number of people can play this fun outdoor game for kids and only one player at a time may play.
