Before the advent of TV and various electronic games that are now marketed to parents and children, the big outdoors was the place for kids to play.
Nowadays people in the health and medical community advise that activities which generate exercise and playing are recommended for kids and for that matter grown up's who call them sports.
Whatever your views kids love to play so here are a few outdoor games for kids that they might like to play or learn more about.
Games like Simon Says, Tag, Freeze Tag, Red Rover, Marbles, Jump-Rope and Double Dutch, Chinese Jump-Rope, Red light green light, Freeze, King - good game and a lot of fun.
You want more? OK.
You know there must be more, yes of course, try these outdoor games for kids. More fun with Hopscotch, try twelve squares.
Boot or shoe or even a sock game - the first to find them and put them on wins. Children love to explore so way not explore a tree blindfold game that's if they can find it.
This can be very a very funny game.
Capture the quarter or other coin.
To get going you need a bucket with water in it, one large coin,(Quarter) and some Pennies or small coins.
Drop the Quarter in the bucket filled with the water. Next, take some small coins or Pennies and drop them into the water trying to "capture the Quarter", by dropping a Penny on top of it.
Keep count of how many coins it takes to get the penny onto the Quarter. The next player needs to try and get a lower score to win. Sound's easy doesn't it?
One of the best outdoor games for kids there is. Never played? Give it a try.
These are just some of the games the kids can play outdoors at party time or for that matter and day of the week.

Kids love to play all the time if they can and wherever they can too. When the weather is fine let get outside and run around if it's safe to do so. If not, take them to the park or play area or playground.
